Built in 1806, this historical cabin is located in the heart of Shelbyville, Kentucky. It stands out among the other historical houses in the surrounding area. A cabin situated amongst the houses is a rare find and this is the reason for us wanting to have it for a store, plus it is close to the shopping district of Shelbyville.

This cabin was originally built to be the first school house for Shelby county. Of course it has had many changes to what it is being used for, the last known use was a dental office. It had siding up on it at one time, and that owner didn't even know it was a cabin until the siding was removed.

Research has been done to find out about the history of the cabin, by the historical commission of Shelbyville, KY. We are so excited to have such a piece of history and feel our products will just be enhanced by the beauty of this historical piece!

Don't let the little front confuse you, there is an extension in the back which connects another log cabin which is believed to be built in 1825. This cabin was moved from another location.
